Blood Centers of the Pacific announces new hours
Blood Centers of the Pacific is pleased to announce new hours. Blood Centers of the Pacific is the nation’s oldest nonprofit community blood center and for nearly 75 years BCP has served as the link between those who give the gift of life and those who depend on it.
Our center is located at 2324 Bethards Drive, Santa Rosa and our hours are:
- Monday, Friday, Saturday: 8am – 3pm
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 11:30am - 6:30pm
- Sunday: Platelets ONLY (no whole blood). Please call for appointments (no drop-ins).
Your support at this time is crucial. It is always a challenge for blood banks and we are always thankful to have the support. Consider the facts below:
- 5 million Americans would die each year without life-saving blood transfusions
- Approximately 32,000 pints of blood are used each day in the United States
- Every three seconds someone needs blood
- One out of every 10 people entering a hospital needs blood
- Just one pint of donated blood can help save as many as three people’s lives
Over 500 patients a day require life-saving blood transfusions through one of the 50 Northern California hospitals. As we approach our 75th year we are pleased to welcome the following hospitals into our family Alta Bates Hospital, Berkeley, Summit Hospital, Oakland, Eden Medical Center, Castro Valley, and Sutter Delta Medical Center, Antioch. All our hospitals rely on the kindness of blood donors – like you – too take part.
