YPN Member Spotlight: Margie Reynolds, Innovative Business Solutions
YPN member spotlights are a quick introduction to some of our favorite YPN members. This month, we're spotlighting Margie Reynolds, Business Development Specialist at Innovative Business Solutions.
What sort of events, mixers, etc. would you like to attend with YPN?
I really enjoy the SR Chamber/YPN events because you get to interact with a variety of people from different industries & backgrounds, but I really found my spot when I attended a Goal Getters meeting! I was able to sit down with a group of 3 other YPN members and talk about our experiences professionally as well as balancing a personal life. My dad is a co-founder of Innovative so I have the added pressure of learning all the ropes of being an executive on top of my regular job running the sales & marketing side of the business – having a group of young professionals to chat with as a sounding board helped me learn new ways to approach situations from a leadership perspective! Plus we were sipping some great wine at the time so how can you complain?!
What are you most excited for this year?
This year I am most excited to take on even more executive duties within my family business! I also have a side hustle working as a independent contractor doing graphic design and have brought on a few new clients from all over the country – this year is all about growth!
Whether it is “Hakuna Matata” “Carpe Diem” or “Just Do IT” - Do you have a motto in life?
My go to phase is “It always works out” – as long as you try your best and are confident in who you are and what you do, it will always work out (at least it has for me the last 30 years!)
What is your favorite way to spend your day off?
When I have a day off you can find me at the hot yoga studio and then hitting up the hardware store – I recently bought a home in Rohnert Park and have a growing list of fun projects I want to get to!
What do you enjoy most about YPN?
The thing I love most about YPN is that you get to meet like minded people & share experiences to help each other grow. I was born & raised in Santa Rosa but moved away for college and bounced around the LA and San Diego area for awhile after graduating. When I landed back home in 2020, most of my childhood friends had moved away and everything was locked down - it was tough finding people my age to connect with. Joining YPN I have made connections with other young adults who are professionally driven & it has been so refreshing!
