Young Professionals Network Celebrates 5 Years
Launched in January 2008, Santa Rosa YPN (Young Professionals Network) was founded to be the premier organization for young professionals in Sonoma County dedicated to developing our community's current and future business leaders. Kelly Bass Seibel, Director of Workforce Development for the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce commented, "When we started YPN we hoped we would have 100 members by the end of the first year. We had that many by the end of the first month. Having held steadily at 300 members is a testament to the quality connections and professional development that YPN provides." She continues, "One of the key challenges that many Sonoma County businesses face is retention of young talent. We want to provide a venue for our young professionals to connect so that they develop both a personal and professional network that connects them to our community."
In conjunction with the celebration of the 5 year anniversary, YPN is launching a new brand, feel and look. "We started 5 years ago with wanting to hold a few events a month to bring young professionals together. We now hold around 36 events a year to allow members to network and socialize in different ways. Our new brand reflects the energy of our organization and all that we offer our members," commented YPN's 2013 Chair, Tiffany Krankemann of Krankemann Law Offices.
Krankemann continued, "YPN is a place for young professionals to develop meaningful friendships and business relationships that will continue as they grow in their professional career. We want to offer events that allow our members to connect with each other and the business community around them."
In celebration of their fifth year, YPN will hold a no cost, open to the public event on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 6:30 at Christy's on the Square. For more information, visit the event page, RSVP on Facebook or call (707) 545-1414.
