Time Capsule Unearthed from Courthouse Square
Thursday, February 1, just before noon, one of two time capsules buried in Old Courthouse Square on March 16, 1968, was unearthed and delivered to the Anthropology Lab at Sonoma State University. What’s in it? You’ll have to come to the public unveiling on March 17, 2018 in Courthouse Square from 10:00-11:00 am.
This is just one of the many public endeavors that are being planned leading up to Santa Rosa’s 150th birthday. The Santa Rosa Metro Chamber, along with the City of Santa Rosa and volunteers from our community, are currently planning the highly anticipated Sesquicentennial Celebration that will take place in downtown on September 8. We’ll keep you posted with details as they become available.
