State Ballot Measure Recommendations
A Ballot Task Force sub-committee of Advocacy Council convened several times to examine the 24 state and local ballot measures that will be before us in November. Of the numerous state ballot measures, the task force gave their recommendations to the Chamber Board and the Board voted to take a position on the following three:
Support Proposition 51: School Bonds critical to funding school facility development and needed to match Santa Rosa City Schools projects
Support Proposition 54: Prohibits the State Legislature from passing any bill without 72 hour notice on the internet
Oppose Proposition 53: Requires voter approval for projects over $2 billion funded by revenue bonds
