State and local guidance for reopening
Local guidance
The Sonoma County Economic Development Board launched an online portal, SoCo Launch, featuring resources to safely and successfully re-open your business in accordance with the latest Public Health Order.
The site includes a
- Business Self-Certification Portal,
- Industry-Specific Best Management Practices, and a
- Risk Mitigation Checklist,
and is aimed to help business owners understand at what point they may be able to re-open for consumers amidst the four phases outlined by the State of California.
Contact information for EDB staff is also listed on the site if you have questions about how to move your business forward during this time.
State guidance and checklists
The Governor has issued industry specific guidance to be followed prior to reopening, which can be located here: https://covid19.ca.gov/roadmap/.
For each sector, it includes industry guidance documents and checklists to post in your workplace to show customers and employees that you’ve reduced the risk and are open for business. It also outlines the businesses that will be allowed to open at various stages to plan and prepare for re-opening.
Additional State guidance for dine-in restaurants and shopping centers
The State of California has released industry guidance for dine-in restaurants and shopping malls for counties that have been approved to move further into Stage 2. And although Sonoma County has not yet been approved to move into Expanded Stage 2, reviewing the guidance and checklists can ensure you're prepared to open safely when approval comes.
