Santa Rosa’s Certified Tourism Ambassadors
The Santa Rosa Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) and California Welcome Center are on track for all staff and volunteers to become Certified Tourism Ambassadors. The Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) Program is a nationwide certification program that serves to increase tourism by training and inspiring front-line hospitality employees and volunteers to work together to turn every visitor encounter into a positive experience. It gives participants the opportunity to build upon their knowledge of the local region, enhance their skills in serving customers, increase their awareness of information resources and discover the power of tourism.
"I'm excited to share the CTA program with all our Welcome Center staff and volunteers," said Brad Calkins, Executive Director of the CVB. "The CTA program provides critical training that helps improve their visitor skills by giving them a chance to meet other ambassadors, learn from each other's experiences, and celebrate together."
Sonoma County Tourism launched the Certified Tourism Ambassador program to train front-line employees and volunteers in the hospitality industry.
