Redwood Credit Union Partners with Santa Rosa Chamber to Provide Financial Literacy in the Workplace
Redwood Credit Union (RCU) has partnered with the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce to be the exclusive sponsor and provider of a financial literacy component for the Chamber’s Worksite Held Employee English Learning (WHEEL) program. The WHEEL program offers onsite English classes and parenting programs at local companies, and will now also feature an elective financial education course, covering topics such as household budgeting, money management, establishing and building good credit and financing a car or home. Financial literacy classes will be taught by trained, bilingual RCU staff.
“Redwood Credit Union is committed to financial education in our communities, and partnering with the Chamber’s WHEEL program allows us to offer essential money management skills to English learners who might not otherwise have access to a trusted financial education resource,” said Lee Alderman, Redwood Credit Union’s Assistant Vice President of Educational Development.
“We are pleased to add this valuable addition to the Chamber’s WHEEL program,” said Jonathan Coe, Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce President and CEO. “We already have several businesses eager to participate in this portion of the WHEEL program, and are excited at the opportunity to continue to enhance the WHEEL program to fit our members’ needs,” Coe added.
