Proposal for Expanding Access to Child Care
As part of our effort to increase access to quality child care in our community, the Santa Rosa Metro Chamber took part in a Childcare Center Informational Summit event discussing the potential development of an employer supported child care center on the 1.48 acres of land owned by the Sonoma County Office of Education (SCOE).
SCOE will be seeking proposals from qualified organizations to fund, construct, and operate a childcare center on the property that is within the Airport Business Area in Santa Rosa. The ideal proposal would represent a consortium of organizations that each bring expertise to the table, including developers, builders, child care agencies, non-profits, local government, and school districts. An RFP opened on October 10, 2019. Questions will be accepted until Thursday, October 31, 2019 and the proposals are due Friday, December 13, 2019.
