New Law Requires Employers to Electronically File and Pay Payroll Taxes
A new state law (Assembly Bill 1245) mandates electronic submission of tax returns, wage reports, and payroll tax deposits for all employers.
- Requires employers with 10 or more employees to electronically file their employment tax returns, wage reports, and payroll tax deposits beginning January 1, 2017.
- Requires employers with less than 10 employees to electronically file their employment tax returns, wage reports, and payroll tax deposits beginning January 1, 2018.
