Member Spotlight: Salvador "Pocho" Sanchez Strawbridge
You have been a photographer extraordinaire for YPN and are finishing up your first year on the YPN Advisory Board. What got you involved in YPN, and what would you want other members to know about you?
I have to give it up to Keith for recruiting me. I have always respected the organization and was always curious if I could add value. Keith saw I could in the marketing and communication portion. And if anyone knows me, they know I’m all about spreading biz and good vibes via social media and more!
I want people to know that we can go further together. And through my work in photography, social media and consulting, I feel we can all win -- so let’s gooooo!
Tell us about the work you do, and how people can get in touch with you!
Well, google pocho1. Haha! Then hit me at my website www.pochosanchez.com or on social media @thepocholiveshow on FB and IG.
I help people tell their stories from personal family to organization and/or corporation. We all have a story, so it's important it's told right: for yourself, your family, your work, our community and our world. I tell stories through photography, videography, content creation and more. In Sonoma County, many know why to run their business, but they don't know how to tell their story online. I help with that.
What is the best part about your experience with YPN so far?
My fav is the community that is built. I was just talking to a board member that its dope to have a community to talk to when working through everything -- how the community is great because it can be a rollercoaster ride being a young professional in Sonoma County, from biz life, to family life, we have a tribe to turn to that understands the ride, ya know? Yup.
Whether it is “Hakuna Matata” “Carpe Diem” or “Just Do It” - what is your motto in life?
Just do it. But I add, "Just do it... but do it well."
At Professional Development Day we talked about setting and committing to personal goals. What is the one thing you hope to accomplish in 2020?
My goal is self-care. I guess you can say I’m super ambitious and love to work, but sometimes I just want to chill out and just enjoy the ride. My goal is to make time for relaxation and ALWAYS working on patience.
