Tell us about what you do? Give us your “elevator speech”

I am a State Farm Agent here in Santa Rosa, CA. I help people protect their families against the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams. I offer products anywhere from auto insurance to life insurance and beyond. I am your one stop shop with the largest insurance company in California.

How long have you been with your company/in that line of work?

I have worked for State Farm for 10 years now but have owned my own business for 8 months. I opened January 1, 2017 and own one of the fastest growing branches in Northern California.

What do you enjoy most about YPN? If you are new and haven’t experienced what YPN has to offer - what are you hoping to accomplish within this community?

I love the opportunity to network with other like-minded people in Santa Rosa, meet other business owners, and learn about the community. It’s a wonderful, relaxing environment to connect with people in similar fields and find out about opportunities to grow not only my business but connect through other facets of the community. I am looking forward to experience more of what YPN has to offer such as the Big Whig lunch, etc.

What do you bring to YPN? If you were to be a go to person for a fellow YPN member what would they go to you for?

I’m so new to the group I don’t have much responsibility in YPN, but I’m happy to help with any insurance or financial service question you might have J

How long have you been in Sonoma County? If a short period where are you from originally?

I was raised in Sonoma County for most of my life. I moved back here when I was 6, but I’m a 7th generation in the area.

Whether it is “Hakuna Matata” “Carpe Diem” or “Just Do IT” - Do you have a motto in life?

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. In my line of work, persistence is key. I believe in putting in every ounce of effort I can to get the job done right!

In 10 years where do you hope to be?

I’d like to move into a larger office and hire more team members to help continue to grow my business and help protect as much of Sonoma County as possible.

If you were allowed to eat one type of food for the rest of your life (and not deal with the consequences) what would it be?

Gravenstein Apple Pie

If you were to play “hooky” from work for a day, what would your ideal day look like?

I’d spend the entire day somewhere outside soaking up the sun. I miss the sun in my office all day! Probably go to the beach with a friend and/or a good book (if my friends decided not to join me in playing hookie)

What is your proudest accomplishment thus far?

Proudest accomplishment is becoming the top auto producer in Northern California for State Farm for 4 months in a row!

Deer

Who is your hero?

My father. He taught me everything I know in the insurance industry, I wouldn’t be the person I am today without him.

How would your friends describe you?

I am driven, goal oriented, and passionate about what I do and put 100% of myself into whatever I’m doing. Be it my work, a game, planning for something, etc, I am highly detail oriented and always finish what I started. I’m very loyal and caring and a great listener.

What is your favorite book?

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I see myself here in Sonoma County, hopefully settled into my new business and continuing to find new ways to push myself and grow, personally and professionally.
