On Friday May 12th, 140 young professionals gathered at Santa Rosa Golf and Country Club for YPN’s Annual Professional Development Day. The focus of this year’s conference was to bring together community and business leaders to teach and inspire our young professionals from all over Sonoma County.
“The speakers were engaging and dynamic, and it provided relevant insight into leadership and business for young professionals in Sonoma County,” said Liz Barron of BPM, who co-chaired the event with Mia Shirley of Friedemann Goldberg LLP.
The day included training for managers, discussions about doing business in Sonoma County, leadership advice and personal stories of building a business, and an exploration of how young professionals can make an impact in their companies and in the community. The day notably highlighted leaders that are under 40 to speak to the next generation of young professionals.
Professional Development Day is another great event that YPN offers that fulfills our goal to provide young professionals with professional development and professional connections to business leaders, as well as other young professionals in the area.
YPN would like to thank our 2017 Professional Development Day Co-Chairs Elizabeth Barron, BPM and Mia Shirley, Friedmann Goldberg LLP and our Professional Development Day Event Sponsors University of San Francisco, Tri Counties Bank, Chandi Hospitality Group, Virginia Dare Winery, Sign A Rama and E.R, Sawyer Jewelers.
