Domestic violence is a worldwide epidemic, crossing cultural, economic, and social groups. Since many incidents go unreported, no doubt the situation is worse than statistics reveal.

The pervasiveness and severity of domestic violence impacting the workplace, thus our businesses and ultimately our entire community, demands our attention.

“Domestic violence and sexual assault walk in the doors of each and every workplace every day here in the United States,” quotes the executive director of the Corporate Alliance to End Partner Violence. “Domestic violence robs our employees of their dignity and their health, and these issues hide in darkness until we bring them into the light.”*

The purpose of this session is to do just this: bring these issues “into the light”.
