Help Shape the Design of the Reunified Courthouse Square
The City of Santa Rosa has launched a public survey regarding Courthouse Square reunification. It's the first of several outreach efforts the city is planning in partnership with the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce to gather input about the long-delayed — and soon to be redesigned — public works project.
You're invited to be part of the design process by giving input on the improvements and features you'd like to see built in the reunified square. To take the online survey, please visit: www.surveymonkey.com/r/CourthouseSquare or www.surveymonkey.com/r/CHS_Espanol.
The City Council voted to reunify Courthouse Square to create a dynamic community gathering space and encourage downtown investment. Landscaped spaces and a central plaza area can provide for a range of activities, performances, and entertainment right in downtown. It can become a distinctive place that residents can take pride in identifying as the center of their hometown.
Survey input will be collected from November through the end of December 2015, and the collected results will help inform the chosen design team for the reunification design.
Once the design team is chosen, two additional public meetings will be conducted; meeting dates and times are still to be determined. For more information on the reunification project, please visit: www.srcity.org/chs.
