Last week’s Education & Business Partnership Breakfast recognized and honored the excellent teaching that is happening in our local classrooms.
PG&E, our Gold Star Sponsor, has demonstrated a tremendous level of commitment to both education and the community by generously donating over $165,000 during the past eleven years in grants for support of this event. These funds are distributed directly to the teachers recognized with Excellence in Education Award in support of their classroom and the school projects for which they were honored.
The Chamber has long recognized the importance of supporting our local educators, and programs coordinated through the Workforce Development division encourage partnerships between schools and businesses.
Congratulations to all of the award nominees. They are representative of the many outstanding local educators who are committed to making that extra effort to inspire their students, make learning exciting, and help students recognize their connection to the community.
