Congratulations: Mike McGuire Named California Senate Majority Leader

The Santa Rosa Metro Chamber congratulates State Senator Mike McGuire on being appointed Senate Majority Leader, making him the second highest ranking member of California’s 40-member upper house where he will be working with the Senate president to lead the Senate.

Senator McGuire has been a stalwart champion for Sonoma County and an embodiment of public service from his days on the Healdsburg School Board.

Reflecting on the news, Peter Rumble, CEO of the Santa Rosa Metro Chamber said, “I’m lucky to have worked on a daily basis with the Senator when he was a County Supervisor, and now I’m incredibly grateful for his work in Sacramento. I don’t think anyone could represent this district better than he does, and certainly I’ve never seen someone who works harder than he does.”
