Chamber Takes Position on Proposition 93

Proposition 93 - Changing Term Limits for Members of the State Assembly and Senate.

The Chamber OPPOSES (NO) this proposition. The Chamber believes that term limits reform without redistricting reform is not the comprehensive political reform California needs. If legislators are allowed to serve longer periods of time, they must be accountable to the voters. Fair redistricting is critical to creating accountability. We must ensure that districts are competitive and that voters have the ability to hold elected officials accountable for their actions.
