Pacific Gas and Electric Company awarded a $20,000 grant to support North Bay Made, a regional economic development program of Local Works, FPC in partnership with the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce. North Bay Made aims to support local, innovative small businesses and entrepreneurs that create locally-made goods, and create a collective impact in public demand for quality products that are locally made.
"North Bay Made builds on our region's rich history of agriculture, production and manufacturing and supports the renewed interest in locally-made products and local businesses," says Kelley Rajala, Director of North Bay Made and Co-Owner of Local Works, FPC. "We appreciate having PG&E as a partner in this exciting project!"
PG&E’s generosity will help support these businesses to create and retain jobs, develop a supply chain network for local producers, create a powerful brand that identifies locally-made goods, and provide technical assistance and education to these businesses in area such as product development, business planning, local sourcing and marketing.
"We at the Chamber are excited to partner with North Bay Made on this important project to increase locally made products and locally grown jobs," says Chamber President Jonathan Coe. "Many thanks to PG&E for its generous support of our venture."
