Chamber Members, Staff Pull Together For Ill Boy's Dream Weekend
You may have read the story in the Press Democrat, "An ill boy, a wrestler, a weekend," about Jonathon O'Malley, the 15-year-old suffering from an incurable autoimmune disease, who got to spend a Sonoma County weekend with his hero, former professional wrestler "Tyler Reks." Gabe Tuft of Local Marketing 2.0, the former WWE wrestler, stopped by the Chamber offices last week and spoke to the staff about his desires in planning this special weekend. The Chamber’s Tammi Matthias and Nate Friar brainstormed, made phone calls and put Gabe in contact with a few members for help in planning. The result was a dream weekend stemming from the generosity of local businesses, non-profits and individuals who contributed to this adventure.
The Chamber is proud to have helped in our small way, and we are even more proud of our community of members who participated and contributed.
