Assemblymember Wood Updates Advocacy Council

Assemblymember Jim Wood, 2nd District, was the guest speaker for the Chamber’s Advocacy Council last week. As chairman of the Assembly Health Committee, Wood touched on issues relating to cannabis, opioid addiction, and escalating prescription drug prices.

In addition, he spoke about the significance of Senate Bill 1 – the transportation funding package approved by the state Legislature earlier this year – as well as issues he faces with 42 parks in his district and the increasing need for improved park maintenance and better staffing.
