42 Years of Combined Service to Visit Santa Rosa and the Santa Rosa Metro Chamber

Wow, and yes you read that correctly. Last week was a milestone as we said goodbye to Sharon Cousins and Nadene Nelson who retired after working for Visit Santa Rosa and the Santa Rosa Metro Chamber for a combined total of 23 years. They followed Alice Richardson who started at our visitor center in November of 1998 and retired last month. Both visitors and local members will miss all three of their smiling faces as Alice, Sharon and Nadene were the welcoming committee that greeted everyone as they walked into the welcome center and chamber offices.

On behalf of our visitors, members and especially our staff, we want to thank Alice, Sharon and Nadene for their big smile and welcome each time we came in and we will miss all of you.
P.S., Alice promised to write a book of all the fun stories and interesting tales you hear when working at a visitor center for so many years. Nothing like a visitor asking the GPS coordinates for the Golden Gate Bridge as they wanted to make sure they “didn’t miss the bridge” on their trip south to San Francisco.
