While Sonoma County has a diverse economy, tourism remains foundational. Continued investment in the tourism industry, arts, and special events is essential to sustain growth and competitiveness at the local, regional, and state levels.

• Expansion of hotel capacity, particularly extended-stay and conference-oriented accommodations
• Development of full-service and luxury properties that attract high-value visitors and increase Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) and Business Improvement Area (BIA) revenues
• Investment in events, venues, and cultural assets that strengthen Santa Rosa and Sonoma County as a world-class destination
