Sugarloaf Reptiles
Sugarloaf docent Galen Freed-Wilhem leads in this easy 2-mile hike in search of snakes, lizards, and other wildlife. We'll start off with a 20-minute presentation inside the Robert Ferguson Observatory classroom and then hike Lower Bald Mountain and Creekside Nature Trails, whose habitats is preferred by these species.
Meet inside the Robert Ferguson Observatory. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $5 for students, youth (12-17 year olds), Sugarloaf members, Sugarloaf or RFO volunteers, and free for children under 12. All children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Wear appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes, bring layers, a flashlight, at least a quart of water, and if desired, a snack. Parking fees apply.
