NatureTherapy Wellness Walk
Join in to learn new techniques to "mess less with stress", using nature to promote health and wellbeing, such as lowered blood pressure, reduced stress/anxiety, elevated mood, and boosted immune health. Leader Michael Foss has a B.A. in Behavioral Science and is a certified Qigong Instructor. He blends together the health and healing qualities of Behavioral Science methods, Qigong physical movements and meditation, music therapy, and other wellness practices. Expect a slow-paced stroll on a well maintained trail, a series of guided invitations to awaken your senses and enrich your connection with nature, and opportunities to share and support each other.
Meet at the upper day-use picnic area, across from the main parking lot. This is a free event but requires registration, as it is limited to 20 participants. This activity is not recommended for children under 18 years old. Wear layers, comfortable footwear for trails, sun protection, bring water, and if desired, a snack. After our walk, bring a lunch if you want to stay and enjoy some social time, meeting at the picnic tables where we first met. 5 ELEMENTS of Nature LEMONADE will be served. Parking fees apply.
