As we battle another fire season and navigate the challenges of COVID-19, it’s becoming ever more imperative that we take the necessary steps to be ready for any business interruption to occur. That’s why we’ve partnered with the California Department of Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency’s Outsmart Disaster Campaign.
Plan for resiliency – Outsmart Disaster provides tools for resiliency and recovery to California businesses in order to prepare for or minimize the damage of a disaster. The State of California is offering a free 1-hour virtual session to introduce small businesses to the campaign’s Resilient Business Challenge. The Resilient Business Challenge focuses on preparing for and recovering from disasters. It covers topics such as Identifying Impacts of Disruption, Continuity Planning, and Structuring Your Crisis Communication Plan.
We understand that it may be counter-intuitive to do resiliency preparedness as we are dealing with so many business interruptions already in play, but resiliency and recovery are inextricably intertwined.
Registration link works for either session: October 20th at 10:00 AM and October 22nd at 5:00 PM.
If you have questions, feel free to reach the Outsmart Disaster team at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please share this with your networks and encourage participation.
While this session is an overview and starting point of planning to help your business become more resilient, in the coming months the Metro Chamber will present additional seminars on specific topic areas. Stay tuned.
