Winter Storms Impact Blood Supply -- A NEGATIVE BLOOD SHORTAGE!
Due to extreme winter weather we have had difficulty receiving blood from outside the state and are not meeting patient needs at local hospitals – creating shortage in the A Negative blood supply of more than 100 units daily.
We are urging those who are eligible to donate
Red Cells or Whole Blood in the next ten days.
Only 6% of the population have your rare A Negative blood type, which can help save the lives of multiple patients in need - those with blood type A positive and negative and type AB positive and negative can receive your life saving blood.
Your donation will most likely be transfused within 7-10 days to a patient
