St. Joseph Health Sonoma County Receives 2015 Women’s Choice Award as One of America’s Best Breast Centers
Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital honored for providing exceptional patient care and treatment
Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital has earned the 2015 Women’s Choice Award as one of America’s Best Breast Centers, acknowledging its dedication to providing exceptional patient care and treatment. Breast cancer is the second most common form of cancer among American women according to the American Cancer Society, and one in eight women in the U.S. will develop invasive breast cancer during their lifetime.
By carrying the evidence-based designation of the Women’s Choice Award seal, Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital has signified its commitment to a global mission to elevate the patient experience for women and all patients as one of more than 300 America’s Best Breast Centers.

Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital earned the award by achieving three high-level accreditations from the American College of Surgeons’ National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The NAPBC is a national consortium of professional organizations that focus on breast health. They are dedicated to the improvement of quality care and outcomes of patients with diseases of the breast through evidence-based standards and patient and professional education. As one of America’s Best Breast Centers, Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital also carries the Seal of the ACR as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, and scored above-average on CMS patient satisfaction measures.
