“I could not do my job as a teacher without the Sonoma County Library. Not only do they provide all my students automatically with a library eCard, I have had librarians teach my students about all the free services they provide students and families; taken my students on tours of the library downtown; and worked with librarians to get access to resources for book clubs that support my curriculum,” said Kris Ackerman, History Department Chair at Cesar Chavez Language Academy. “Every local teacher needs a Sonoma County Librarian as a bestie.”

Teachers love the Sonoma County Library! Sarah Tognozzi, eighth grade teacher at Roseland Accelerated Middle School, said that the library is an incredible resource for local students, teachers and families. “We are so grateful for the Sonoma County Library’s dedication and passion for serving students in Sonoma County,” Tognozzi added.
Wright School District Library Manager Katherine Vandersluis said “Sonoma County Library not only has countless print and AV titles for check-out, but also supplies a really broad net of resources online. They will even send a librarian to your school to acquaint students and/or staff with these powerful resources. Try it—it’s like breaking through to the next dimension!”
