Rincon Valley Regional Library Modernization Project Starts March 16
The Rincon Valley Regional Library will temporarily close its doors beginning March 16 to undergo a comprehensive modernization project to better serve our community.
The project, funded by the library sales tax and property tax, focuses on creating a more flexible and tech-forward environment. Key upgrades include a brand-new makerspace, dedicated Teen Space, study areas, and a refreshed Children’s Room. Patrons can also look forward to new tables and seating, updated shelving, and fresh paint and carpeting throughout the facility. In addition, the customer service desks will be combined and relocated to improve user assistance, and an automated materials handling (AMH) system will be installed, offering ergonomic efficiencies for staff and users.
"We are thrilled to invest in this branch and bring these much-needed upgrades to our patrons," says Jennifer Duran, Branch Manager. "From the new creative possibilities in the makerspace to the improved layout of our service desks, every change is being made with our community’s needs in mind."
