Redwood Credit Union Donates to Support Children’s Miracle Network on International Credit Union Day, October 15
In honor of International Credit Union (ICU) Day on Thursday, October 15th, 2015, Redwood Credit Union (RCU) will donate 25 cents per RCU Visa debit or credit card transaction made that day to Credit Unions for Kids. The funds will directly benefit Children’s Miracle Network hospitals, including Children’s Hospital & Research Center in Oakland.
Children’s Miracle Network raises awareness about local children’s hospitals. Donations go towards research and training efforts, purchasing equipment, paying for uncompensated care, and saving and improving the lives of children.
“Credit unions were founded on the concept of ‘people helping people,’ and International Credit Union Day helps us raise awareness and celebrate the benefits credit unions provide to our local communities,” says RCU President and CEO, Brett Martinez.
Last year, in partnership with CO-OP Financial Services, RCU raised over $33,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network on International Credit Union Day.
