Oakmont Community Supports Rebuild Efforts
Santa Rosa, CA—On Wednesday, December 6, 2017, approximately 150 Oakmont residents gathered at the Berger Center Plaza in Santa Rosa to watch the Oakmont Community Foundation (OCF) present a check for $113,470 to the Redwood Credit Union. A total of 419 Oakmont residents and organizations donated these funds to support wildfire relief efforts.
“It shows that Oakmonters really appreciate the efforts of first responders during the October wildfires, and that Oakmont loves its Santa Rosa and Sonoma County neighbors,” said OCF President Susan Millar.
Additionally, the Oakmont community will be donating funds to the Redwood Credit Union from advertising proceeds in their Annual Community Directory & Resource Guide. Association Outsource Services (AOS), the provider of the directory, will be informing advertisers that their advertising will be partially used as a donation to continue to help Santa Rosa and Sonoma County neighbors recover from the devastating fires this past fall.
The Oakmont Community Directory & Resource Guide provides a comprehensive tool for the Oakmont Village Association (OVA) that includes residents’ listings, services and classes offered, community information numbers, regulations, maps and more. Due to its great success, the Directory & Resource Guide is now in its 5th year of publication.
