North Coast Builders Exchange currently has an opening for a Director of Workforce Development and Education.
The Director of Workforce Development and Education is responsible for superior delivery of workforce development programs, timely educational seminars for NCBE membership and collaboration with industry and education partners to increase awareness of construction industry career opportunities in the North Coast Region.

Primary Duties
Workforce Development:
- Oversee current and develop new opportunities within the NCBE Membership Region as an innovative leader and collaborator in the delivery of high-quality education and workforce development initiatives in alignment with NCBE mission and adhering to financial and strategic goals.
- Oversee the outreach, promotion, and implementation of the North Bay Construction Corps (career exploration and training program for high school seniors).
- Oversee budget forecasting, development and management of all education and workforce development programs.
- Ensure grant/contract compliance and performance, serving as point of contact for funding sources.
- Drive outcomes and ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
- Develop and engage with business and education advisory councils.
- Develop and maintain quality relationships with funding and community partners, including frequent visits and face to face interaction.
- Work with Communications Director to gather student stories and testimonials (written, verbal and video) to effectively communicate the organization’s impact to stakeholders.
- Attend relevant community events and cultivate speaking opportunities to deepen local workforce networks, engage industry and education leaders, and expand community presence.
Member Education:
- Plan, organize, and manage educational programs for member businesses.
- Working with local business leaders research and plan business building seminars.
- Maintain up to date information and create educational opportunities on safety and industry licensing requirements for members.
Program Fund Development:
- Produce and oversee workforce program fundraising and stewardship events.
- In partnership with Director of Member Services ensure corporate and industry sponsorships are secured to meet budget/fundraising goals for workforce development and education programs.
Board and Volunteer Relations
- Attend NCBE Board Meetings and committee meetings as appropriate.
- Engage and provide staff leadership to the Workforce Development Committee, and North Bay Construction Corp Advisory Board and support NCBE Board of Directors in initiatives that drive education initiatives and identify investment opportunities.
Required qualifications/competencies for this position include:
- Bachelors or Associates Degree in organizational development, education, business or management desired, and/or equivalent experience (3+ years preferred) demonstrating excellence in developing and growing workforce development programs, seminars and educational events for an organization.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present and inspire members, industry representatives, students and education leaders.
- Working mastery of computer programs including: Microsoft Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook).
- Detail oriented, adaptable, organized with demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and tasks.
- Embraces change and promotes a culture grounded in adaptability.
- High energy, outgoing, team player with a passion for driving success and a vision for expansion.
- Strong working knowledge of project/program design, training, education and workforce/economic development.
- Ability to travel throughout North Coast region. Position requires visiting multiple locations. A valid driver’s license required.

Salary Range: $85,000-$95,000
