North Bay Credit Union names 2020 scholarship recipients
“I’m proud to say that here in Sonoma County, we found an abundance of well qualified entrants for our scholarship program,” says Chris Call, CEO. “These young people are going to be tomorrow’s leaders, and we’re proud to help them get there by awarding each a $1,000 scholarship.”
Francesca Pharo of Sonoma is at Colorado State University; Cameron Taggesell, also of Sonoma, is headed north to Willamette University; and Healdsburg’s Lola Plum is at Kansas State University. Gina Hansen of Santa Rosa and Shantel Shaw of Cotati are both attending Santa Rosa Junior College, while Anamaria Morales is headed to the University of California Berkeley.
“We looked for students who are not only exceptional academically, but who also are involved in their communities, whether here or at school,” Call added. “Several are previous North Bay CU scholarship winners, which shows they are consistent in their studies and accomplishments.”
