Kaiser Permanente appoints new Care Experience Practice Leader
Tae Abate was recently named Care Experience Practice Leader of the Kaiser Permanente San Rafael Medical Center. In her new role, Tae is responsible for the strategic development, planning and oversight of all patient care experience functions, including training and support to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction.
Tae graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies. As a program coordinator and consultant for gender equality, violence against women, and LGBT and human rights, Tae provided training and technical assistance for hospitals, local law enforcement, the United States Army, and internationally for refugees fleeing ethnic cleansing in Kosovo.
Since 1999, Tae worked for Dignity Health in San Francisco and most recently served as the Director of Patient Experience for their Northridge Hospital in Los Angeles. As a passionate leader with a proven track record of improving clinical and experience outcomes for patients, she embraces compassionate care through tangible actions that exemplify those practices.
