Hansel Golf Challenge Raises More Than $110K Net for Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin
The tournament was the 36th held through the partnership between Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin and Hansel Auto Group.
The 36th annual Hansel Golf Challenge took place Monday at the Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club, raising a net total of $111,632 for Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin. The tournament brought together more than 120 golfers representing 32 companies and over two dozen sponsors to support the 11,000 local youth served by the organization each year. The event reflects the community's shared commitment to ensuring every young person has access to the relationships, opportunities, and support they need to build a Great Future.
Hansel Auto has partnered with Boys & Girls Clubs through this tournament, previously held at Rooster Run in Petaluma, since 1990. Since its inception, the tournament has raised more than $1.6 million to help local kids feel safe, supported, and seen.
"We are proud to stand alongside Boys & Girls Clubs in their mission to ensure every young person has the chance to reach their full potential," stated Hansel Auto Group President Henry Hansel. "Investing in kids strengthens families, neighborhoods, and the entire community."
Funds raised through this tournament will support before- and after-school programs, summer camps, athletic programs, and other essential resources for kids at 35 Clubs throughout Sonoma County. These investments help local kids thrive by providing caring mentors, enriching experiences, and safe places where young people can thrive.
"This tournament represents Boys & Girls Clubs' longstanding history and support from the community. When we come together for local kids, we see life-changing results," said Jennifer Weiss, the CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin. "Every dollar raised helps create opportunities for young people to grow in confidence, discover their potential, and prepare for a successful future."
The Hansel Golf Challenge includes a full round of golf, contests, lively themed holes hosted by community partners, and a cocktail hour. Beyond the competition, the event serves as a celebration of the collective impact made possible when local businesses, sponsors, and supporters rally around Sonoma County's youth.
