Dr. August joins department of Infectious Diseases

Dr. Jessica August recently joined the Infectious Diseases department at Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Medical Center.

After attending Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies, Dr. August completed a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Tucson, Arizona.

Dr. August, who lives in Santa Rosa, says one aspect of her work she finds especially rewarding is caring for patients living with HIV as medicine continues to break down barriers across the spectrum of this disease.

“I am thrilled to be here at Kaiser Permanente and look forward to collaborating with this community that has been so welcoming already,” she says.
