Dancing with the Stars and Stripes to help homeless vets
DANCING WITH THE STARS AND STRIPES, a bouncy and cheerful event, is raising funds to allow Veterans Resource Center to effectively help homeless Veterans in our community.
This performance will take place on Saturday, April 2, 2016, 7:30 pm at the Petaluma Veterans Memorial Building, 1094 Petaluma Blvd South.
DANCING WITH THE STARS AND STRIPES is patterned after the popular TV show, featuring twelve dance teams - a local amateur "star" and a professional dancer "pro". The dancers are raising funds by soliciting sponsors. Tickets to the event are $35. All proceeds go to Veteran's Resource Center.
Two years ago Sonoma County had over 400 homeless veterans living on the streets. In one year, with support from the community and the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Resource Center cut that number by half. PLEASE help us further reduce the number of our vets living outside by supporting this spirited performance - dresses, tresses, and zesty steps!
