Healdsburg in Bloom, the 22nd iteration of Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin's Healdsburg dinner and auction raised a net total of $365,000. These funds go directly to providing after school programs, summer camp, and essential youth services throughout the North Bay.
Santa Rosa, CA—Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin raised a net total of $365,000 to support after-school programs, summer camp, and essential youth services during its annual Healdsburg dinner and auction, Healdsburg in Bloom, held Friday, April 24 at the Villa Chanticleer.
Healdsburg in Bloom marked the 22nd year of this annual event. Proceeds from the evening, along with a corresponding online auction that closed Sunday, will directly benefit more than 11,000 children and teens across the North Bay.
“This event is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, celebrate, and help build Great Futures for local kids,” said CEO Jennifer Weiss. “Our roots in Sonoma County began in Healdsburg, and returning here each year reminds us how far we’ve come, and how much more we can do for local kids.”
Healdsburg in Bloom’s auction featured more than 70 items generously donated by both local and global businesses, including travel experiences, premium wines, and unique offerings. Guests also participated in Bid for Kids, a giving opportunity that helps provide summer camp free of charge. The Bid for Kids lots raised $147,000—which covers a whole summer of camp for 49 local kids.
More than 150 guests attended the event, enjoying a lively cocktail hour and silent auction, a seated dinner by Troubadour Bread & Bistro, a live auction, and dancing. Signature cocktails were provided by Alley 6 Craft Distillery, and wines were poured by local wineries, including Hafner Vineyard.
