$1,000 Art Scholarship Launches for Local High School Students

Students at Santa Rosa High School and Placer High School are invited to submit an original work of art for a chance to win more than $1,000 in prizes. Following the success of the Spring 2023 Santa Rosa Scholarship, flooring and interiors company Floortex Design has now launched a fall scholarship for both Placer High School and Santa Rosa High School.

The scholarship contest is open from Sept. 1 to Oct. 31, 2023, and three students from each school will receive cash awards. The 1st place winners will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship to be used at their chosen college or art school. The 2nd place winners will each receive a $250 scholarship, and 3rd place winners will receive a $100 gift card from local art supply stores. The winners will be announced on Nov. 3, 2023, on Floortex Design's Facebook and Instagram pages.

This scholarship aims to recognize artists in the community and to encourage them to pursue their dreams. Floortex Design will host two awards events. The first will be for Santa Rosa High winners on Nov. 9, 2023, at Floortex Design's Santa Rosa boutique. The second will be for Placer High students on Nov. 16, 2023, at Floortex Design's Auburn showroom.
