LSR & YPN Coordinator

(Coordinates Leadership Santa Rosa (LSR) and Young Professionals Network (YPN) programs)
Hours: Full Time - Hourly
Reports to: Vice President of Public Policy & Workforce Development
Pay Range: Hourly rate up to $21/hour

Position summary

Coordinates the Chamber’s Leadership Santa Rosa program (75% of position) and Young Professionals Network (25% of position) under the direction of the Chamber’s Vice President Public Policy & Workforce Development

General duties
  • Develop a good working knowledge of the Chamber and its various programs
  • Participate as directed in such Chamber meetings and activities as required to provide an understanding of Chamber activities
  • Work with the YPN board and LSR Steering Committee and VP to develop annual goals & plan of work for YPN and LSR
  • Work with the YPN Advisory Board and LSR Steering Committee to assist in their plan of work
  • Provide administrative support to the YPN Advisory Board and LSR Steering Committee by helping to create agendas, attend meetings, maintain membership database, annual billing and support various committees
  • Promote YPN and LSR within the community and recruit new members
  • Plan, manage and execute LSR welcome reception, beginning and year end retreat
  • Attend all LSR program days and events
  • Coordinate three LSR half-day professional development days and annual LSR graduation
  • Attend monthly LSR Alumni Association meetings
  • Support multiple LSR planning day committees by providing administrative support as they work to secure speakers, space and meal sponsors for each LSR day
  • Manage the YPN membership database, including but not limited to, renewals, new members, and sponsors
  • Manage and oversee the YPN sponsorship program
  • Plan, manage and ensure execution of all YPN special events including but not limited to preparing and distributing marketing materials, contacting event sponsors, maintaining records of event information and helping with set up and tear down
Skill Requirements:
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Resourcefulness/problem solving
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of the business community helpful
  • Experienced knowledge of Windows, MS Office, Outlook, Excel, social media platforms and database management programs
  • Event coordination experience a plus
  • Experience working with volunteers
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds
  • Must have current driver’s license and clear DMV record

This is a full-time position, approximately 37.5 hours per week.  Requires a flexible schedule working a 5-day week.
