The Sonoma County Economic Development Board (EDB) partners with local chambers of commerce, Visit Santa Rosa, and visitor centers county wide to support and grow tourism and our local hospitality sector.
During a recent joint meeting with the EDB, representatives from Visit Santa Rosa and the California Welcome Center Santa Rosa gathered for an annual meeting to report on results, share information, and exchange ideas. A key takeaway from the meeting is that, combined, Sonoma County visitor centers welcomed 290,000 walk-in visitors along with answering 140,000 inquiries.
In a comprehensive survey conducted by the EDB, 74% of the respondents said that the availability of a visitor center is highly important. On a scale of 1 to 10, 73% of respondents said that the likelihood they would return to Sonoma County again was a 10.
As our community continues post-fire rebuilding efforts, it’s good to know that Santa Rosa and Sonoma County continues to be a highly desirable tourism destination.
