The Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce is the leading organization in the region dedicated to the success of business and a strong economy.


The Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce's mission is to support, promote, and advocate for our members and create a vibrant, sustainable economy in our region.

Core Beliefs

The following values reflect the core beliefs of the Chamber and the manner in which it will undertake all of its activities.

  • Business Driven: The Chamber has businesses as its members and will be driven by their needs and interests.
  • Collaboration: The Chamber will seek out and work with other individuals and organizations willing and interested in working together to solve problems.
  • Excellence: The Chamber is committed to excellence and will seek to reflect that in all we do. We want all associated with our organization to be proud of the work that we do.
  • Fiscally Responsible: The Chamber will manage its funds in a responsible manner to ensure that it has the resources to accomplish its mission and to undertake new projects as the opportunities arise.
  • Leadership: The Chamber will build on its history by continuing to be an organization that provides leadership to our community in addressing both the challenges we face and the opportunities we have.
  • Regional: The Santa Rosa Chamber recognizes the importance of taking a regional approach to issues and will reach out to engage others throughout Sonoma County to cooperate in this fashion.
Priority Goals

The Chamber's 2016 Priority Goals are:

  • Continue our work to improve our regional economy by supporting BEST in creating and implementing a new program of work reaching new job creation goals;
  • Create revenue growth for our hospitality members and the whole community through the leadership of the Visit Santa Rosa and the use of BIA and other funds to implement an aggressive sales and marketing program that increases occupancy and Average Daily Rate in Santa Rosa hotels, encourages spending by visitors, bolsters our local economy and meets revenue targets specified in its Strategic Plan;
  • Nurture a pro-business environment in our community by implementing the Strategic Plan of the Public Policy Team;
  • Strategically expand our Workforce Development efforts to serve as the “voice of business” in the workforce development arena and to implement specific programs that improve our workforce;
  • Advocate for and promote Downtown as the vital center of our City through the work of the newly created Santa Rosa Downtown Association;
  • Enable our member businesses to grow and thrive by expanding existing and creating new programs that support their success;
  • Create new programs and mechanisms to enhance collaboration amongst business organizations in Sonoma County so as to improve our collective impact in this region;
  • Continue our re-organization to create the organizational infrastructure needed to achieve our Objectives and complete our Plans of Work.
